About Us

Blue Line has been serving Ottawa residents for over 50 years as the city’s largest taxi service.  With all the years of operating, being the first taxi company in North America to use computerized technology for silent data dispatched work for safety, comfort and greater governance, Blue Line Taxi has always kept the customer first and tries to keep all requests for service above all.

50 years ago, when Blue Line Taxi started in the City of Ottawa, they operated with only fourteen taxicabs.  Blue Line quickly established itself as a leader, consolidating other fleets to have the critical mass to operate more efficiently.  Today, it is the dominant fleet in the Capital with over 637 full-time taxicabs. Small fleet sizes translate to longer customer waiting time, and more empty “dead-heading”.  It leads to unproductive wear and has negative consequences for the environment.

Today, the Blue Line brand is one of the most recognizable brands in each of the cities where it operates, being Ottawa & the Durham region. I am writing to convey my appreciation for outstanding customer support from one of your drivers. While I did not get his name, he truly went above and beyond to provide me assistance.
On 23 March, this driver took me and my infant daughter from our home (240 Briston Private) to the train station around noon.The drive to the train station was very friendly. Upon arrival, I accidentally left my gloves in his car. Truly going above and beyond, and on his own initiative, this gentleman dropped my gloves off at my home the evening of 29 March.
I thought my gloves were lost during my trip; I was moved by this kind gesture of your driver to return my gloves.

I am writing to let you know how much I appreciated the service provided by one of your drivers on the weekend.
I was his last fare from the airport early on Sunday morning, around 2 am. We had a pleasant conversation along the way. It wasn’t until I was in my apartment and beginning to unpack that I realized I must have left my phone on the backseat of his car.
A friend called my phone, and Mansoor answered immediately. He gave his cell number and suggested I call in the morning.
The next morning Mansoor offered to bring the phone to me. Although I offered to compensate him for his time and his costs, he refused the money I was offering.
He had no obligation to make my lost property a priority on his time off. I so very much appreciate that he did, and I commend him for his generosity and his service.
