Blue Line started over 50 years ago in the City of Ottawa with just fourteen taxicabs.  Blue Line quickly established itself as a leader, consolidating other fleets to have the critical mass to operate more efficiently.  Today, it is the dominant fleet in the Capital city with over 540 full-time taxicabs. Small fleet sizes translates to longer customer waiting time, and more empty “dead-heading”.  It leads to unproductive wear and has negative consequences for the environment.  

Blue Line was the first taxi company in North America to use computerized technology for silent data dispatched work for safety, comfort and greater governance.

In 2003, Blue Line expanded operations by taking over the dominant fleet in Cornwall, and the Veteran’s Modern taxicab company became known as Verteran’s Blue Line.  This success was built upon with the expansion of Blue Line in the cities of Oshawa and Clarington in 2004.  By 2005, a new Blue Line fleet was added in Ajax with further expansion into Pickering in 2007.  

Today, the Blue Line brand is one of the most recognizable brands in each of the cities where it operates.
